We worked hard for President Obama's victory on November 4; now he begins his hard work for us. His challenge is great; the opportunities enormous.
How can we help? One simple way is to raise the collective consciousness and support him with blessings, prayers, and poetry. You know - send him good vibrations!
"Barakah" means "blessings" in Arabic; "Baruch" is Hebrew for the same thing; both figure in the origin of the President's Swahili name, Barack.
Everyday I will post a barakah of good will, faith, love, hope, joy and encouragement for our President, Barack Obama. Please join me in this cosmic adventure to support his work, life, and family by mindfully reading the entries, sharing them with friends, and suggesting your own barakah for Barack.
I am a long time supporter of Barack Obama for President. My first impression came through my teenage daughter who met Senator Obama during a youth conference in Washington DC in 2006; together we heard him speak in Seattle in June, 2007. My cynical daughter was moved to tears at Obama's call to youth, to become involved in the future of our nation. She responded and so did I. The highlight of the campaign season was sitting together in Denver at Invesco Field with 75,000 compatriots, celebrating Barack's nomination.
President Obama's election is so very hopeful. I believe I must support him, to help him succeed. If he succeeds, we all succeed. Yes we can.
